Dear Primos and Friends:
For 35 years I have been exploring the history of the Spanish global presence, seeking the truth at every turn. Because of the abundance of anti-Spanish sentiments, locating facts concerning Spanish explorations and colonization, amidst the abundance of veiled, discarded, lost, suppressed, twisted or changed facts . . . has been a challenge.
What a joy to receive a find from Dr. Carlos Campos y Escalante to an online presentation, concerning an important truth and fact, establishing the heart and mind of Cristóbal Colón’s objective, in sailing the "ocean blue".
Written by Cristóbal Colón with an authenticated signature, the entry refutes historians commonly stated belief that Colón was seeking spices and riches in the Orient.
Colón writes his reason for the voyage was to find and enlist the support of those promised in the Bible, by the prophet Isaiah. Isaiah wrote that – – from the "East", help would come to help Israel in its defense against the Muslim’s war against the Jews and Israel.
Verzcia position is based on the words of Cristóbal Colón himself, as found in a March 4th, 1493 entry in "Cristobal Colon, Textos y documentos completos, Edicion de Consuelo Varela Nuevas cartas: Edicion de Juan Gil".
Spanish historians Mario Verzcia has produced a series in Spanish, available on the web, "Diez Mentiras Prohibidas del Descubrimiento Conquista de America" . The URL is found under the category, Historic Tidbits.
The First Big lie about the Spanish, is about the discovery of the Americas. Verzcia adamantly states that it was not to find a route for spices and to obtain riches. This is a monumental historic find. It validates what I had observed, "between the lines" in 35 years of searching my family history.
Colón’s dedication and sacrifice were the acts, mission, and bravery of a Christian. Colón was a servant soldier in the service of the Lord Jesus Christ.
As a Christian American of Spanish heritage, I am filled with great joy and pride with the revealing of this documented fact . . .
God chose our country "for such a time as this".
May we each help to keep it the land of the free.
~Mimi
